Her Name Is Bellatrix
Why not name her Bellatrix? After all, she is a mare so “Female Warrior” seems more than fitting. Even as a foal, young Bellatrix outshined all the others. Her chrome legs were abnormally ganguly on her bay body, but she had no problem standing her ground.
Unfortunately for her, the word Bellatrix is also synonymous with one of the most evil characters in Harry Potter. Like her movie counterpart, my Bellatrix does not back down from a fight and will definitely hold her own in any circumstance. She is strong and brave and will throw fear into anyone who rubs her the wrong way.
Now, at seven years of age, Bellatrix wows her audience with a simple extended trot down the longside or an effortless flying lead change across the diagonal. The more ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’ she receives, the more she engages the crowd with her spectacular movements. The best part, she isn’t even trying. Her German bloodlines run deep which means her natural ability hasn’t even been tapped.
She is picky on who she calls her posse though. There are certain characters in this world she has no tolerance for, but I, I am blessed to be hers and she is mine. We have been bonded since she was nine months of age, and together we have an understanding and a fair respect for one another. I know she will never let me down because I will always be her number one fan.
