Death
the rain comes in sheets
like knives bouncing of the parched earth
pooling ito muddy puddles,....
soaking into the ground
The strength of hundreds pounding on rock
it shakes the very soul within me,
pulling my soul like the wind pulls at the leaves in the fall
but steadfast is the stem that holds me to the earth to feel the misery...
chain keeping me no,
chains pinning me to the sof soil
yes
chains, I tell you. chains
thought I was free,
a free man....
but no
these iron chains hold me to this earth, as the rain pours down my brow
And yet the rain brings life
the warm earth brings green plants
though their life is short they enjoy every second of it
now as the rain stops I feel strange
like im leaning of a cliff...
something snaps
and i look down and see my body
covered in mud
and i reach out trying to touch myself...
but a light breeze sweeps me away
/////////////////////////
up into the air
to be forgotten among the clouds
