Heavy

I’m holding up so much more than I can carry

My shoulders ache from all that I drag behind me

I’m carrying bricks of memories with me

In sacks that are worn and raggedly

When will this torment end?

When will my heart finally mend?

When will peace arrive and greet me as a friend?

I'm tired of carrying this heavy burden all on my own

I don't like to admit it but I'm so alone

Help me please

Relieve me now

Or I will leave
