The Character of God
The Character of God
Reading and studying of the names of God has given us great insight into the character of God. There is only one true and living God. In summary of what we have gained in the previous scriptures:
He is a loving Father who enjoys hearing from us as we say Daddy (Abba).
He is our (Lord) Master in the word Adonai spoken in reverence of His proper Name YHVH.
He is The Lord, God of hosts who has formed the mountains and created the wind. He is the Creator of all. The Lord of Host has declareth unto man what is his thought. The Scriptures of the Bible he has given us His instructions on how to live life to the fullest. The Torah is not just a book but a marriage contract to His Bride, the Children of God. He made the morning darkness and has dwelled upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.”
He is our Advocate (Tzaddik in Father) or Our Advocate, referring to Yeshua, the Messiah who is one with the Father. He pleads our cause with the Father, for he has paid for our sins. He is One (Adonai Echad). They are one God. He has manifested Himself to mankind in many ways from a consuming fire on the mountain, giving Moses the Ten Commandments, parting the sea, providing food from heaven and water from a rock. Moreover, as the Son of Man and the Son of God the Messiah Yeshua, Leaving us the Spirit of God (The Holy Spirit) on Shavuot, which is (Pentecost) to empower his children to serve and teach others.

He is LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God. The Almighty, God is Almighty because he is sovereign, omnipotent, omniscient, eternal, and infinite. The Alpha and the Omega in Greek or Aleph and Tav in the Hebrew Meaning: "The First and the Last," "The Beginning and the End. God of heaven's armies, the One who is, who was and who is coming, All-Sufficient One, He is all-sufficient because He is Almighty, God can make all grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, that we will be enabled to every good work He has set before us.
He is All-sufficient God. This declares strength, majesty, and power.
He is God My Exceeding Joy; He is my exceeding joy. I praise you, O God, my God, in my obedience to your instruction with great joy you have given me.
He is Compassionate (loving and merciful). He is rich in compassion and mercy, so we may not be distressed. He keeps his promises and the Marriage contract of the Bride his People. He will not forsake us or destroys us for His name's sake. He never forgets the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them (Marriage contract).
He is Jealous God; Our God is a jealous God, desiring our praise to be for Him alone. He honors the marriage contract and desires a personal relationship His jealousy is not out of selfishness, but a passionate love as a groom to the bride. I never will I leave you, and never will I forsake you.
He is The Lord of Armies, His sovereignty over all spiritual and physical armies. The King of the universe He is in control of His Creation at all times. We need to be still and know that He is God.
He is The Everlasting God: God created time, and He does exist outside of the dimensions of Space, Time, Height, with and Depth of this World, yet he lives in the heart of every believer’s heart. Before the creation of the universe, there was God with no beginning and no end. This means the character of God, His Word, His Kingdom, and all He stands for never changes and never ends. That means we have an unceasing, dependable, trustworthy, and consistent God, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
He is Mighty Warrior God and Champion. He always prevails, has great strength, and overall authority over all Creation. By His mighty hand that brought the ten plagues against Egypt and set His people free. He has delivered us from the bondage of Sin, through Yeshua the Messiah. Great is His counsel, and mighty in work: for His eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men; to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his works. He is our Rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my Salvation, and my high tower, a safe place to be at all times.
He is God who sees me! Never believe you are alone, even in your darkest troubles. He is always there carrying us through times of trouble.
From these names, which describe the character of God has given us some understanding of His nature and plan for His Children. I encourage you to dig into the Word of God and get to know our God. He is waiting for each of us to build a strong and lasting personal relationship that will last forever. We live in difficult times, and no man knows the day or hour, which we will stand before our Creator. The question is are you ready?
