Chapter one (In the Rain)
Some people do not go outside when the rain is pouring down. Some people do not want to get wet. Others do not want to get sick. The rest do not want to be cold. But to I, Shane, love to go out when the rain is pouring. I have never gotten sick, have never been cold, and I love the way the rain hits something, the splat it make, I love that. You may be wondering ‘Am I human?’ No I am not human I am a Pixie. I have the ability to teleport all I have to do is focus my attention to one place then boom I am in that place. I have the power of telekinesis (psychic ability allowing a person to influence a physical system without physical interaction.) I have the power of telepathy. Since I am a Pixie and Pixies can fly I have the ability to fly. Just because I can fly doesn’t mean I fly all the time. I try to act like these humans do so I don’t stick out like a sore thumb. It was dark and pouring rain. I was going for a walk to clear my head. When I saw the most beautiful and most handsom guy I have ever saw. His name is Zeke. He has baby blue hair and his charming eyes are a light green. He is tall and skinny. Like really tall. I would estimate he is about 6′3ish. I have a thing for tall guys. But the best part is he is a Pixie like me. I was walking and I noticed he but I didn’t seem like he noticed me at first. Then I get a text from my baby brother, Milos.
In the text
Milos: Shane, Dua has died.
Shane: What??
I let out a chocking sob. Then Zeke looks at me with clear concern in his eyes, “Are you ok?” He asks with concern laced with sympathy in his voice, “My name is Zeke. What is your name?” With tears in my eyes and a nice stutter I tell him my name and why I am crying. The randomly he hugs me and pats my head and is telling me, “Everything will be ok Shane.” I stutter, “I...I...I n...n...need t...to g...g...g...g...go h...home.” Zeke looks at me then walks me home to where my parents and brother was waiting. “WHO IS THAT SHANE AND WHY ARE YOU JUST NOW COMING HOME?” My mother shouted in anger. Then she noticed the tears running down my face and noticed the look of concern on Zeke’s face. “Honey, why did you have to shout at Shane like that?” My father bluntly asked my mother. “I...is i...i...it t...true? I...i...i....i...i...is Dua d...d...d...dead?” My parents nod in unison, signaling it is true my baby sister Dua is dead. I break down into even more crying and even more sobs. Zeke drops down with me and tells me, “Everything will be alright Shane.” I cannot speak. Milos comes over to Zeke and me and hugs me while he is crying. The father comes up to Zeke and pulls him aside to ask questions about him. “Who are you? How do you know my son Shane?” “My name is Ezekiel Hulls. I was walking to get home when I heard your son crying from behind me so I turn around to see Shane sobbing while on his knees looking at his phone. So like a concerned citizen I asked what was wrong and he told me. So sorry for your loss sir.” Zeke said nicely and calmly. “Ezekiel, sorry for dragging you into this.” My father told Zeke. “Sir no need to be sorry. Shane is sweet and nice. I should know we are in the same grade.” Zeke informs my father. “Wait, Shane goes to an a boy Pixie school. So that means you, Ezekiel, are a Pixie!” My father said excitedly. “Yes sir, I am a Pixie.” Ezekiel tells my father and come back to Milos and me, who are still crying. I was so numb I couldn’t move or cry anymore. So my parents ask Zeke if he could carry me to my room. He agrees but he has one condition Milos has to come with us. I mean my room is Milos room aswell so Milos would have had to come anyways. So Zeke carries me to my room and lays me down on the bed. As he was about to leave I grab his and and mutter, “Stay with me Zeke?” “Always Shane, I will always stay and be here for you when you need me the most Shane!” Then I fall asleep.

“Hey, Zeke, I heard what you said to Shane before he fell asleep. Don’t you dare hurt him. He means everything to me. Like he his my twin brother, my best friend, and now my only sibling do not hurt him ever.” I, Milos, told Zeke with tears in my eyes. “I promise Milos I will not hurt Shane ever.” Zeke informs me.

I wake up with a red blotchy face and cuddling with Zeke and Milos. I shake both so that they move so I can get up. Then I see someone I have never thought I would see. “Dua?”
