eyes wide open

i watched as the grass blew

in front of my

crystal blue eyes

the grass swirled around in the air

like fairies in the wind

so i layed back

and let them whisper

songs of hope into my soul

i made sure to never blink

becuase one second missed

could be a fairy flying away

so i smiled

keeping

eyes

wide

open.
