Rise

With the change in time still ticking away, as yet another sunset goes under the horizon.

To where across the world, a new day has begun, 

here I lay as night befalls us in a world filled with but darkness, 

we can only look to the stars to see the twinkles and happiness it brings to our souls 

as we slumber away conserving energy for as a sun rises the next day, so shall we.

We shall rise, as the moon slumbers, 

Rise, as the sun wakes,

As the stars are blocked from our view,

We Will rise.

Rise to live out our lives,

We will rise,

Rise, just as the people before us,

We will rise,

And we have.
