The Rain Tonight

The rain tonight

It makes me feel lonely

I lay in my bed

In the dark

In my room

Making no motion

Rain splatters the roof

It showers down

Soaks the ground

Tonight, it’s not soothing

A clamoring sound

Catastrophic

Claustrophobic

All these thoughts

Pushing forward

Breathing faster

Near disaster

Heart is pounding

Pitter-patter

The rain tonight

It makes me feel lonely
