The Yin and Yang of Desire
Living in the darkness
Delighting in shadows
But still craving those decadent rays
It’s almost as if this Vampire was in love
With Summertime
If only once I could taste the glow
The soft folds of roses dance with sunflowers
Stolen from the maidens of Time
A blushing, torn and silky mess
I crumble
Soft bulbs buried deeply in earth
Poke up through delicate toes
I forget what wanting feels like
But the ocean knows my name
Sacred tendrils float up
To the soft skin covering my bones
I trade roses and sunflowers
For anemone and forlorn
Silver teardrops grace supernatural lovers’ eyes
The smoky swirls of water
Are my only tangible delight
I smell dew drops
I feel fine
So Circe leave me be
Just send me gifts of kingdoms
And rivers
And flowers
As I curl-up in hollow sentience
