I Still Remember Her
So easily I take the place of a cloud
And start to imagine soft surroundings
How fresh the wound
When I can’t seem to touch the ground
And then she’s all around
Too many times I counted stars
Unequal to the tears in my heart
But when I try to picture a place
It’s undoubtedly still glowing
An ever-changing labyrinth
In the center of a rose
Dreams hold me down
Cement my feet
Mud between bare toes
I can almost hear the feathers
Floating through thin, cool air
Can almost feel wisps of them
Fluttering against eyelashes
Breezing through hair
It’s been months
Seconds
Minutes
Weeks
And yet,
I still remember her
