Letters Up in the Attic (sneak peak)

This is currently a book I am working on, and I decided to give you a sneak peak or example of what can be found in the story

You told me you couldn't understand why I did the things I did. You looked at me like I was a monster, and you told me I was the demon of your dreams. I wish I could say I was hurt, but this would be a lie. In all actuality, I know the truth. You're right.

But regard less of your validity, I knew better than to tell you that your assessment was correct. I feared my humility becoming your leverage, therefore you would receive nothing but pride. After all, it takes one to know one...
