Two Poems

it amazed me

to see a pregnant belly

during

mandatory quarantine

where are these women

getting the urge

to reproduce

is it under hazmat suits

or when watching the news

no touching, a rule

that comes straight out

of a futuristic horror movie

there's a wall on my block

that says

'This Wall Has Corona"

he said

I wonder if you lick it

if you'll get charged

with domestic terrorism

I went for walks as people got fined

for being in groups of two outside

too scared to leave my house

I started talking to the walls

four fine companions

that could hold decent conversation

bourbon at 1

it had fantastic things to say

about being alone

an anecdote for a sobered world
