3 little known facts

1)The book of Daniel in the bible is a perfect example to the ignorance of most Americans religious nuts. Most of these claim the bible to be the word of god, which is why it was translated at least 3 different times over , before making it into their loving hands. They would particularly be surprised to know that if you read the book in the original, Hebrew, you can actually read only the first chapter. The rest is written in Aramaic. The final editing of the Tanach, or the old testement was done in the 1st century, so they must have gotten things a bit confused...

2) there are no native species of the bird family of cranes (Gruidae) in south america. There are also no cranes in antarctica, but that isn't saying much..

3) the first scholarly work in musicology, was produced by Greek mathematician pythagoras, which used a single stringed instrument of his constructiin to investigate the properties of waves and sounds. Even today, an instrument playing a scale made up of exact an equal divisions of 8 spaces, is sonetimes called a Pythagorean scale.
