Showin up and Showin out.

"Its just brunch." Eryka told Aria.

"I dont want to ask my parents to watch her E. They already do enough." Aria sighed.

"Well just Bring her with." She shrugged.

"So your boujee colleagues can make me feel like an oddball and my baby like a priah. Yea no thanks." Aria finished taking put her twist outs.

"You look cute. My baby is already cute just come. Id really love it." Eryka said batting her eyes.

Aria wanted to support her friend and was sure that her daughter could handle a small crowd or at least that's what she told herself. Aura had a big personality for a little girl. Outside of her being cute her conversation engaged nearly anyone she spoke with.

"Fine. I'll get her up and give her something small to eat. If its to much were leaving though." Aria told her.

"Great." Eryka clapped her hands

She ran out of the room and came back with a medium sized bag.

"I figured you guys could wear my new mommy and me collection. Inspired by Aura herself." Eryka smiled passing her friend the bag.

"What were you going to do if I said no?" Aria laughed at her.

"You would never let me down. Now look in the bag." Eryka smiled.

They walked into Arias room as she took the contents out the bag and set them on her bed.

For Aura she pulled out baby suspenders and a white butterfly off the shoulder top with flowing sleeves.

For Aria it was a backless white dress with matching butterflies that came down to her knees.

"Awww." Aria said.

"It matches your personalities right?" Eryka smiled proudly.

"Yea I get Aura's by why us mines backless?" She asked.

"Cause your strictly business right ? But your occasionally fun and sexy." Eryka laughed.

"Here I thought we were friends." Aria laughed.

"Never. We are sisters." She laughed.

Aria held onto Aura's hand as they walked into the restaurant.

It was a nice upscale event. As Aria predicted she was the only one with kids. She knew she needed more friends with kids so Aura wouldn't be alone.

"Momma where's TT?' Aura asked looking around.

"She's here. How about we get some food first and then go say hi?" She smiled at Aura who nodded.

They headed for the food after Aria saw Eryka talking to a few people. She made Aura and herself a plate before she grabbed an empty seat and sat her daughter down then herself.

Her and Aura sat and at as Eryka made her rounds.

Aria knew they wouldn't be there much longer knowing Aura nap time was comin up.

"I would like to thank you all for the support. I am sure you all know my best friend and God daughter were the inspiration for my upcoming line." Eryka smiled proudly before she motioned her hand towards Aria and Aura.

Aria picked Aura up as the both waved smiling.

"They came to support me. Which as always is appreciated. Today they are also wearing one of my mommy and me pieces designed specifically for them." She said as the group clapped.

"Thanks you all again for coming and I cant wait to show you my other pieces." She finished with a smile as everyone applauded.

Aura sat and smiled as Eryka made her way towards them.

"Boo you ready to do our thang?" Eryka stuck her arms out for Aura who jumped into them making the women laugh.

"If she gets cranky just come get me its almost time for her nap." Aria told her as Eryka nodded.

"Thanks again for coming." She hugged her before she walked off with Aura leaving her alone.

Aria had to admit people didn't seem to he as rude as she expected. They were all smiling as they adored her daughter.

"Aria?" She turned to her name to see her colleague Mike from work behind her.

"Oh hey Mike." She stood up.

"O wow I could barely tell it was you. You look amazing." He said eyeing her up and down.

Her hair was down as she wore light make up to match.

"Thanks, my friends a designer she created an outfit for me and my daughter actually. This is her event." She told him.

"Well it looks amazing on you." He told her.

His stare was becoming slightly more uncomfortable as she decided to take a seat again.

"Well I am meeting with a client. Ill see you Monday I guess. Enjoy your weekend." He smiled as she waved him off.

He kept looking back making her look towards her daughter.

Since it was a buffet banquet style brunch Aria got back up to get something to drink.

"Wow so someone is a big time lawyer now?" Camren said looking at Aria.

He was her ex from over four years ago. They dated all through high school and on and off during college. His issue was he wanted more than what Aria offered. He wanted to start a family she wanted to finish school. Ironically things didn't work out as either of them thought . In the end his affair with her cousin stopped them from ever getting back together.

"Hello, Camren." She said with a small smile.

"C'mon Aria dont do me like that." He said pulling her in for a hug.

"You look good. Beautiful actually." He told her.

She knew it. Today was the first time in a while she had wore her hair down and dressed up. Normally her focus had been Aura, moving and currently work.

"Thanks." She smiled trying to walk away.

"We can't talk?" He tried to stop her.

"About?" She said as he looked her over.

Nothing about him changed. She could easily see he was the same boy as before.

"Aria I am sorry. You know I did make a mistake. You-" he started as Eryka returned with Aura.

She looked fussy as Aria looked at her Aura reaching for her. Aria pulled her daughter in her arms as Camren looked her over.

"TT I'm not tireddds." She said looking at her god mom who was wrapped around her finger.

"Ill be back, here." Eryka said putting her favorite glasses on Aura.

"Ill be waiting." She yawned as the women laughed.

"We will prolly be heading home soon." Aria told her as she nodded.

"Oh, Cam. Hey" Eryka said caught by surprise.

"Hey E. I didn't know this was your event congratulations." He said smiling.

"Thanks." She said.

"You good?" She asked Aria who nodded yes.

"Okay if you leave lemme know once your home. Ill stop by later." She told her.

"I will. Give TT some love." Aria poked at Aura who laid on her chest trying to put the sunglasses on.

"Here boo." Eryka laughed fixing the glasses as she kissed her cheek and patted her back before walking off.

"Wow, so your a mom?" He asked in disbelief.

Camren had heard about it but didn't believe it.

"Yup." She said as he looked down at her daughter who was rubbing her face into her chest.

Aria knew she was going to pass out soon.

"How old?" He asked her.

"She's about to be 4." She told him.

"4?" He asked.

He knew four years almost five years ago they broke up. He started to wonder if the little girl in front of him was his. Secretly he hoped she was. Aria was the girl he always dreamed about starting a family with. Of course he had his faults but looking at her with a beautiful little girl laying on her chest he couldn't help but dream.

"Yea, 4. Why do you ask?" She looked at him confused.

"Uh we were together four what maybe five-" he started.

She knew exactly what Camren was thinking now.

She noticed Aura was already asleep.

"She's not yours. Her dad came months after me and you broke up. Like almost a year." She told him as his face started to look disappointed.

"Oh ok makes sense." He said putting his hands in his pocket.

"Wishful thinkin." He chuckled lightly.

"I didn't know you were looking forward to whole illegitimate child thing." She scoffed thinking about him with her cousin in their bed.

"With you of course." He told her looking at her.

If he hadn't fucked up Aria was sure her and Camren would have been married by now. There was a point he used to be apart of her plans til the plans changed. Or possibly it was both of them who changed.

"C'mon Cam." She told him.

"I'm fa real. Honestly it was just nice seeing you again. Can I get your number?" He asked her.

Aria was on the fence. She knew there was no need to reopen that chapter in her life not with Aura now. Camren was her first everything but she wasn't sure about reconnecting. She didn't know if she would be willing to weather a relationship and bring her daughter along for it.

"Cam, that's nots a good idea." She told him.

"As friends." He said.

"Iono Cam-" She started.

"Wow, You look beautiful as always." Aria turned to her right see Nawf smiling at her.

He completely cut off Camren but something about him didn't make her mind.

Aura was now completely asleep on her chest as she held her.

"Hey, Antjuan." Aria said caught by surprise.

He was wearing a three piece suit that was definitely making him more eye catching than he already was.

At this point Aria was ready to go. Not only was her ex there, her baby daddy and her creepy coworker.

"I jus got out of my meeting with Mike. He said you were over here." He said completely ignoring Camren's presence.

"Cam, this Antjuan. Antjuan this Camren." She said as the men both shared looks of distaste for each other.

"Well its been nice seein you, both but I going to head home so she can finish her nap." She told them.

As much as she wanted to yell and tell Nawf that Aura was his daughter to get it over with she didn't want to do it with Camren there who was just as eager to speak with her as Nawf was.

She noticed his eyes go to the little girl on her chest.

"Who the hell puts sunglasses on a baby?" Nawf laughed reaching for them as she pulled away.

"Please not while she sleep." Aria said sounding worried.

"I can walk you to your car." Camren offered.

"We're fine. Thanks. Nice seeing you both again." She said turning around and hurriedly walked off.

Aria needed to figure out how to tell Nawf.

She knew she didn't really have a choice because once he looked at her he would know. She just didn't want to be some tacky meeting. She was actually relieved the sunglasses took up most of her face. Aria wasn't ready for him to just realize he had a kid without her talking to him first.

Aria made her way out the restaurant and into the parking lot.

She didn't expect her Saturday to go like this.

"Whew." she said opening her back seat door and buckling Aura in.

"Damn I gotta chase after you each time?" Nawf said slightly winded.

Aria hit her head on the back seat roof trying to climb out.

"No just right now is not a good time." She said.

"Its never a good time or place wit you. You know you can't plan everythin?" He said as she got out the back seat.

"Do I know." She smirked at the irony.

"Damn take those glasses off lil girl gone to have marks all on her damn face from how she sleepin." He complained as she shut the door.

"Her god mom gave her those she will wake up upset. Ill wait til were home. It wont be long." She told him. For the most part it was the truth. The other reason is because she knew he would know in one look.

"Aww ok." He said.

"Ill see you soon." She said reaching for her handle.

"Ay." He said stopping her.

He looked like he was nervous. She figured he must know so she looked to him.

"Huh?" She asked.

"I know the other day-" he started.

"Last week. It was a mistake." She corrected him.

"I wanna say that but I was thinkin." He stepped closer to her.

She scooted back.

"I felt you then and that night. Its been a while huh?" He asked her.

He was honestly only having a craving for her. He looked her over and she was so appealing to him. She was beautiful and Nawf longed for her.

"Excuse me?" She was caught off guard by what he was saying.

"I remember how tight you was that night and you said how it had been a while. Yo shit was even tighter last week. Maybe it was the surprise of it iono but I can tell its been a while. Look I normally dont do or say this." He paused.

"Say what?" She was getting irritated but was confused.

"I know you gotta nigga but obvious you ain't gettin nun. Or at least nun good. I mean I could be yo side nigga." He said weirdly.

Aria looked at him as if he was crazy.

She shook her head before she lightly chuckled.

"Antjuan your fuckin weird." She said going for her door.

"I'm fa real." He told her.

She swiftly swung around.

"First off I'm not a hoe or a whore. So your offer is upsetting. I have no man so there's no need for a side nigga. I'm single. I just really dont appreciate how you just came at me so please back the fuck up." She told him calmly.

As she opened the door he looked to her back seat the see the little girl taking off her sunglasses.

Aria rolled down her window making him look at her.

"Please do not speak to me. Ill speak to you once I'm ready." She pulled off leaving him speechless.
