Perfect Incisions

“I nicked myself shaving this morning.”

That was her response when asked about the cuts on her arms. No one ever inquired further.

Except for one stranger whom she met by chance. He told her to stop lying. She asked what he meant.

“Accidental nicks are not perfect incisions.”
