Prose Challenge of the Week #17: You are a superhero. Write a piece about your powers and how you’ve abused them. 50 words minimum, 250 words maximum. I’m that hero....
I wouldn't be a great hero. I would be unseen. I would be the one where if there is a abusive husband beating his wife, I would make sure he would disappear without the wife knowing. I would stay in the shadows, without a cape or mask. It is like I would have the power of invisibility but I really wouldn't be invisible. People just wouldn't look hard enough before it is too late. I'm the one who crawls in my own bed, tired and worn, tears streaming down my battered face. I'm the one that is alone except for the skeletons in my basement. Yes, I am that unsung hero.
