Scream

yesterday was National Poetry Day

and all I got was this lousy T-Shirt

writing poetry is like

telling someone how you feel

and they say

wrong, we are moving on

in our application process

or better yet

they ignore you

a scream in a crowded room

it's rejection served cold

when I already have

abandonment issues

thank you for coming
