Seven Lives
Somewhere close to the equator:
The sun always shines down on me. I think that the sun serves a purpose, but I cannot tell what. It takes away water, but it helps plants to grow. It makes me happy but kills me if I stay in it for too long. How does that make any sense?
Somewhere with eyes closed:
We dance. We dance until stars are our echoes, our ghosts. We will be surrounded by so much light that nobody can see us. That is when we kiss.
Somewhere by Water:
It's so calm. Feel the breeze. Watch how the hot sun plummets into its cold, dark depths. It's funny, for as many secrets that I have, the sea has plenty more.
In a forest somewhere:
The forest sings. It is an orchestra of birds, plants, and other small creatures. The overture happens at the edge of a cliff, and at one central point: when the universe reveals itself in the night sky.
In a city far away:
I'm amongst brothers and sisters, lovers and haters, men known and women unknown, as well as the converse. How am I still hidden amongst so many eyes?
A child somewhere:
"Momma, you're my bestest friend!"
On a bed, near death:
The heat is decreasing. The light approaches. What do I say before I slip away? Do I tell someone that I love them? Do I tell them... That I, nay, we have many questions about ourselves? All seven of us? No. They would never believe that we exist.
