lexus

a Quilt woven with Patient hands

that should have kept us warm

you can look through the holes

to remind yourself of what could have been

a Teaspoon of bitter Jealousy

mixed into our hearts

so we could know what others have

but not have it for ourselves

a Murmur Expresses your true self

it's muffled by the hand crafted picture frame

that's hung for the passer-by to gaze at

nothing more or less that perfection

a Path taken with Poignancy

the awareness it was wrong

but choosing to trudge together

rather than stride alone

an Action Forgone in favor of keeping the peace

suffocated and stifled in unspoken rules

all of them backwards and inside out

no questions permitted and no explanations given

a Zebra at peace in the Oases

black and white crashing with bright scenery

pictures that don't quite match

yet no one mentions it

a Sword Acquired through Judgement

sharpened on both sides for our sins

yet I am the only one bleeding

stabbed from behind and through the heart
