The kingdom we've built

is falling apart

The villagers are fleeing for their lives

In this kingdom

You are my king

And I your queen

My king rode off to

fight other battles

He left me behind to fend for the kingdom

In his absence

I tried to keep the kingdom afloat

The villagers continued to flee

No pleas from the queen

seemed to work

They rode off to fight their own battles

The queen thought of

abandoning ship as well

for she has her own battles to tend to

But the villagers have become family

And you never turn your back on family

No matter what

The king has now returned to his queen

He's vowed to never leave her again

He's taken charge of his kingdom once again
