Challenge
Where do we go when the earth starts shaking?
Literal or metaphorical.
Shift in Thought
I used to sprawl to the floor in anguish. I would close my eyes, plug my ears, and pretend it wasn’t real. About five minutes after, I would stand up and continue my normal life.
Then I moved to Japan, where earthquakes occur all the time.
Now, when I feel the earth shaking, I don’t do anything. My nerves aren’t piqued. My heartbeat remains steady. It’s just another earthquake.
It’s tsunamis I’m worried about.
