The Lord was grieved that he had made man on the earth.God decided to bring flood waters on the earth to wipe mankind from the face of the earth.The springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.The water rose and increased, and every living thing was wiped out.A righteous man called Noah was saved with the merciful hand of the Lord.When the waters receded Noah sacrificed burnt offerings to the Lord.The Lord God smelled the pleasing aroma and set His rainbow in the clouds as a sign of covenant of peace with man.
