She lied best when swearing the truth

She lay best in her fountain of youth

Lying and laying, pining and supine

She did it designing all the time she was mine

Now, not looking so truthful when lying

No longer youthful, even when trying

Lying and laying, youthful or not

She may not be mine, but I'm all she's got
