Buttered Lies

She spins her lies

like a whirling top.

The colors blur

churning like

yellow butter

melting on his tongue.

Dollops of fat

spray all around

congealed in his heart,

a lump in the pit

of his belly

molding him

to her wishes

like lard

in a tub.
