Stolen Bliss
This night froze still
with ice up your spine
and love's last kiss
wasn’t sweet, nor divine.
Sweet pure innocence
Now stained red
these scarred eyes couldn’t handle
to watch my angel fled
These scattered dreams
of love’s lost life,
Leaves me in tears
in remembrance of strife.
Our weary hearts
were locked in love,
And my morning light
now my mourning dove.
When will the anguish cease?
When will this aching stop?
When I turn myself over to death
and on the ground my body drops?
What would I give,
For one last kiss?
But now I drink to forget
this stolen bliss.
