Clarity
Clarity evades me when I try too hard to grasp at it.
Like staring at a fine point on the horizon, it dances out of view
When the effort to focus becomes too precise.
Clarity is an untrustworthy agent;
Coy and playful
and sharp-toothed when it uncovers an unpalatable truth.
A moment of clarity; a realization that can no longer remain unobserved.
Even if we wish for it.
Clarity is liberation.
A refusal to return to a life less satisfying.
It is the tiny voice,
Echoing across a vast canyon,
"I AM PART OF SOMETHING LARGER!"
A universe within a grain of sandthat slips out of grasp upon closer speculation.
