Being Alone

There is a sense of security when you find yourself alone,

when there is no-one present and your shadow’s your clone.

It’s peaceful to think of yourself as whole

when no-one decides to dissect your soul.

Lessons are taught by the self when alone

which proves the self pliable and not made of stone.

In such lessons people live and grow

as they reflect on the paths they and no-one else chose.

Personal evolution is something to enjoy,

and in doing this, alone time is needed to deploy.
