My Doberman
As a philanderer
myself
of course
I prefer
to pet
the one-man-dog
The kind
that needs
a blow in the ear
to unlock
enemy clamped jaw
I like the type
that growls
at strangers
and lolls
its tongue
belly side up
for selected fun
I like the
canine
who knows
its herd and
attends before
being called
who takes lead
without rope
and heels
at the sole
