The Fox & The Bird
In the forest deep and wild, A fox chanced upon a bird, Its feathers bright and mild, Its songs, a tune unheard.
The fox's heart skipped a beat, As it gazed upon the bird, Its beauty, a mesmerizing treat, Its melody, a sound unheard.
But the fox knew deep inside, That the bird could never be its own, For how could a predator abide, By a prey's side, all alone?
So the fox watched from afar, As the bird flew away, Its love, a forbidden star, Destined to fade away.
Yet the fox remained devoted, To the memory of that day, When it saw a love, untold, In a bird that flew away.
