Dancing with Death
A shadow looms, stretching out his dark hand,
The darkness sucks out happiness and life.
The silence stabs my heart like a knife,
Grim’s deathly breath sends shudders through the land.
Beginning to dance, life’s joys seem so bland.
As we spin and twril, my composure blithe,
He carresses me like I am his wife.
We twirl and sway, our movements so grand.
He leans in slowly to steal his first kiss,
Weakness spreading through me, shaking my knees.
His embrace tightens as he leads the dance.
I fall deeper into his dark abyss,
All of my surroundings begin to freeze.
Is this flirtation or will he advance?
