To the Tree
“To the tree of purple and pink flowers,” I sang this phrase in a dream.
Purpose, I shrugged.
If the tree has flowers and colors.
Then the entire world is in darkness.
I was the only one next to a tree.
But no one is around me,
Not even the crickets,
Not even the leaves rustle.
I look at the clouds moving in.
I think it is going to rain.
Rain? Crap!
I ran forward to reach the house
If I find it, good.
If I do not, lightning will strike soon.
I tried to complete the dream in this story, which left me with a cliffhanger.
