Fire & Ice

On thin ice I walk

shattering my core

fire and hailstones are born

convoluting my mind

confusing my inner most hidden flaws...

On ice I walk

cracking underneath the heat

erupting the rage of despair

my tiny feet unaware

my existence falling, crawling, fraying...

Fire burns my inner essence

knawing at my sacred needs

desire simmers

molten core combusting

my ice cage no longer sure,

unable to contain what lingers when it rains...

Icicles pierces in places where pain no longer remains

hot and cold,

senses rush wild abandon

no longer coy,

no longer afraid...

Fire and ice

damnation in sight

atop an iced throne

I drown...

resurfacing a phoenix

alive

aware

rebirth brings a strength of which is really rare...
