From A Distance

as if that of a spirit passing by.

Ignites wild sparks,

a flush, a sigh.

And the name on his lips,

you long to be yours.

For when it escapes,

the waiting flame roars.

And you hold his gaze,

getting lost in that sea.

Losing resolve, breaking down walls,

relinquishing the key.

his presence dissolving the veneer of the unsure.
