Twilight

In the night, the deepened darkness

Glimmers with a thousand shades

Vines of moonlight catching dusk

And ripening like aged grapes

Old and ancient, timeless smell

Of darkest days gone by

Some vintage, musty memory

Rests on the air like wine

Drinking in the twilight thoughts

Of shadow flitting through my glass

Midnight mocks the silence
