Today’s fool

They say a man who defends himself before a court has a fool for a lawyer.

But I ask you what is a fool?

Now for those who walk the left hand path know that words have power. When a word is first used it is given meaning, but as time passes that meaning can change, the word then loses its original meaning and its original power, it may get stronger, although most of the time the opposite happens.

So is the fool of today the same as yesterday?

The fool of yesterday was an innocent, filled with childlike wonder. It is true that facing the manipulation of men and laws such a fool does not stand a chance.

For only a soul as pure as that of a real fool would have the capacity to carry judgement, and no fool young or old could have a fair trial facing the likes of the modern man.

The modern man can never have the innocence of the fool, he no longer see the wonder of life. He sold his freedom for security. Not realizing that without his Liberty he will never have true security. He will never be free to embrace the wonder and innocence of life, he will forever be a fool, a fool of today.
