Silk-Wrapped Lies
People feed each other
silk-wrapped lies,
We're all hoping
we can disguise,
That we're all terrified
of our own demise.
Perhaps we should find
a better premise,
If we ever hope
we can distinguish,
That all of the tries
for all of the lies,
They only form
blood-soaked alibi's.
For when one gets hurt
the other cries,
Yet hopefully
to our surprise,
Enlightenment
will make us wise.
