Eyes slowly open
everything is new to me
innocent and small
Learning happens fast
talking, walking, loving
it feels safe to grow
Growing is scary
who am I supposed to be
trial and error
Kids, jobs, bills, stress, life
always playing catch up
someday we’ll relax
Someday came and went
there are just memories now
