Cold nights, quiet rooms

I lie awake, my mind wondering

Are you safely sleeping?

Are you having nightmares?

Or are you dreaming swiftly amongst the clouds

Maybe you're also awake and cannot sleep

Because something's been bothering your mind

Something you can't keep anymore

Like a wave of emotions, waiting to flow

Sometimes I wonder,

If we're dreaming the same dreams

And sharing nightmares together

Like our minds are connected

Never to be brought apart
