Silence

you can wish for it within you,

within your mind ,within your heart

you can ask your inner voice to be quiet for a while

and feel at peace and maintain it from your part

but never wish for those around you to be silent

no matter how much they sound violent

because it is a death wish that will give nothing but grief

leaving you to wallow in your own disbelief 

that time will make things better

but no,time will only make it worse

and what you don't know is it is too possessive 

as soon as you prefer it over your people 

it will make you an exclusionary 

soon days will pass, months will go by

and you will be left all alone with no one but silence 

and yes of course in absolute silence!
