The Lake

The waters are blue,

Reflections of the sky’s hue.

Ducks along the shore,

Swimming in waters, Oh, so pure!

Two fishermen, grizzled and old,

Telling tales; epics untold.

A cool evening breeze,

Calls and invites me.

Here I sit, alone and in awe,

Telling God, Thank you for it all.
