To Belong

At the edge of the cliff she stood, with one step to fall in doom. “Jump.” The crowd challenged.

To belong she did as was told and jumped.

With a weary smile she swiftly fell, hitting the water deep she sank.

They waited for her to rise but she lost herself for life.
