I have this daughter

She stole my heart

Refilled it with young love

Aspirations

Youthful dreams

Respect

Strength

Intelligence

Fortitude

She entered my world

And opened hers to me

And now

We are connected

In a way

That disconnecting

Would shatter my paradigm

And half of my excitement

Of being alive

And facing a world

Is my joy
