woke up late again, sorry

a clock looms in front of me as I watch the seconds hand tick

and tick

and tick

over and over again

but still time does not seem to pass

I blink and suddenly it has been 15 minutes.

But I barely closed my eyes?

How can it be that so many seconds have passed within so little time?

I ask myself

as I lazily inch my way out of bed every morning

groggy for the day to come
