Bass

A thick sound pumps out from the car next to me,

Aggravating me.

The bass trembles low and true,

Yet I do not understand why I am forced to listen.

Turning up my own music, I smile,

Drowning out their sounds.

The noise fades away,

His voice is pure bliss.

I am elevated,

A smile is brought to my face.

Happily, I recite the words.

The bass is pumping,

Oh, the bass.
