Digging Holes
My face might be blank, but I'm screaming on the inside
I haven't seen these fires
I've never felt this numb
It's so hard to accept anything when you know the painting you want to create, but the colors you have just aren't right
Life plays jokes, but nothing is funny when the weight presses down on your shoulders
When your elbows dig into the tables like kitchen knives
When your legs feel a ton each
Tell me everything is okay when my jaw is fastened shut
I walk fine because I don't want any attention, but inside I'm crawling
Enter my pipe dream and you'll feel the wrath of the flames
Volcanos of doubt effervesce
My face feels like it's melting, and I'm dreading the day the rest of me goes too
