The dull throb behind eye,

A closing of the throat

And pounding heartbeats choke

While unspent tears dry.

The chest ache persists,

Fingers feel numb

Bleeding gum

Nothing exists.

The stain by the eye,

Pain in the head

Hold onto that thread

Not ready to die.
