Death? My best friends? Oh dear...

I would find a dark corner in my room, and sit there, staring into nothing. I would not cry until the shock got over me, and then I would sob until it looked like I dunked myself in saltwater in my clothes. Then I would refuse to get up until they came back, which they never would, and eventually I would fade into a shell of my former self.

Of course, after many, many years I would stop moping, but I would never, ever be myself again.
