Challenge
In prose or poetry, DESCRIBE how the world, despite its vileness, is made unselfish.
Fractured Parallel Layers
World dodges
ricocheted bullets,
buzzards of coded secrets
disguised in layered flesh,
despising those
who don’t fit its husk.
Hidden in a moldy blend,
a dance with no music,
in tumbled pages of rust
refusing to hold hands
with the enemy.
Watching promises
bleeding through
jagged cuts,
world evaporates
into fractured parallel layers
of scattered sand,
renting its skin in strips
from embezzled thoughts
of false witness
against antagonists
who don’t fit its image.
Stand up, brave world,
an unclothed skeleton,
for what is righteous
solving the riddles
of earth’s life force
by opening your soul
to possibilities.
