sadness
Black Wolves
I dribble sadness with my mind
chaperoned by waning moon.
I crawl behind the barren sky
welded with steel bars of doom
from shooting stars on high.
Rocks weigh down my heart
as black wolves howl my fate,
trapped in clotted arteries
dripping blood in blackest night.
Nails fasten festered wounds to skin,
eyes teem with drops of blue despair.
Joy has been wiped off with ragged
tissues of throbbing heartache.
Eagle talons claw my soul,
leaving somber pieces of torn flesh
while I forget the taste of breathing.
Dying in the cesspool of life
I walk alone in my sorrow,
remembering what time has erased.
