All Ends in Flames
The fire grew inside of him for he had witnessed something he would rather not see. His one true love was dying in front of him. Her hands and body were getting cold. The blood was everywhere in sight. She gave him a weak smile, and told him not to worry. He couldn't help but worry though because he felt her pulse get slower before it stopped completely.
Tears escaped his eyes as he held her body close to his. He screamed out her name hoping she would wake up and be alive, but nothing happened. She was gone forever, and nothing could change that. He wished he would have arrived quicker then maybe she would be alive and well. He didn't arrive in time though to stop her killer. All of the memories they shared played in his head. All the laughter, happiness, tears, and sparks of love he remembered when he heard a familiar laugh.
His body immediately tensed up, and he gently laid his love on the ground. The fire of pure hatred and anger showed in his eyes as he turned making eye contact with the killer.
"Well, well, well. That was a touchy scene, guess she couldn't handle the pain. Did you really think I would leave without meeting you, Mr. Eric? That's rather foolish of you. Now tell me where those secret documents are, or I'm afraid you will have the same fate as your love." The killer said with a sinister smile as two hench men appeared aiming guns at Eric.
"Don't you talk about my love like that! You can forget it, I will never tell you where the documents are. You are going to have to pry them off my cold dead body, and even then you will never find them. I have hid in a place you will never find it, and you going to regret killing the one person I actually cared about." Eric shouted and revealed a gun he had. He aimed it directly at the killer pulling back the trigger. The killer only smirk back and chuckled not believing him. His men released fire on Eric, but he was prepared using the fuel of his anger to dodge the bullets. Some skimmed against his clothes making them tear and the skin bleed, but he didn't notice. He only had one thing in mind which was revenge.
The killer was surprised and their was a look of fear as Eric came close. He pulled his gun out in defense when... A loud gun shot echoed through the area. The killer fell to the ground bleeding from his forehead where the bullet entered. His eyes still open wide with fear, but their no life left in the body anymore. Eric dropped the gun and walked away from the corpse in anger. He had blood all over from him from the impact of the bullet. He went to bookshelf of his and revealed the hidden documents. The ones everyone was after. The reason his love and purpose of life was gone forever. He had to destroy them. He dropped the documents on the floor. He took a carton of gasoline and started pouring it everywhere.
He laid down beside his love, and the fire in his eyes were replaced with teary eyes. A gentle smile crept his lips and he looked at everything for one last time.
"I love you, Annabel. I will soon be where you are." He said softly as he lit a match and dropped on the gasoline covered area. Everything went up in flames that turned into a deadly fire.
